At JM QUARTER HORSES, we are committed to a higher level of excellence for the starting and training of colts.  Dusty has adapted his own personal style that shadows the excellent training abilities of Ray Hunt, good friend and mentor Richard Degnan from Ashland, KS and Dusty's good friend John Paul who trains cutting horses.  He believes in asking a colt to perform for him through natural horsemanship.  Experience has shown him that a calm gentle beginning produces better minded colts that can perform to the best of their ability.  Our customers who have used Dusty to start and train their colts have been amazed at the progress their horses have made in only 30 days of riding.  Colts usually get a day or two in the round pen and go straight to work on the ranch.
