Left to right back row: Dusty and Spencer. Front row: Jeb, Mindy and JaLynn.
Dusty grew up in Paterson, Washington, a small town in south central Washington right on the Columbia River. His father managed a large cow-calf and yearling operation around Paterson. Dusty's first memories were of helping his Dad. Dusty went to work for his Dad and has never looked back. All he ever wanted to do with his life was train horses and work with cattle. He moved to New Mexico when he was 20 and has been working on ranches ever since. He is now living his dream of owning his own cattle, starting and training horses, and developing a superior breed of performance horses.
Mindy grew up on a large irrigation farm in Plains, KS. She always loved horses and had to beg her Dad for years to buy her a horse. After she was out of school she spent some years following around a few good friends who had years of experience with horses. Every spare minute was spent learning more about handling and training horses. She is now living her dream of training, running and selling barrel horses. Mindy is also actively involved with the family cattle operation and breeding mares. Mindy became a registered respiratory therapist in 1992 and worked full time until December 2009. She is now mostly retired and focusing her time on raising kids and animals. She has also started a small business of making and selling faux fur blankets, pillows, purses, scarves, and ponchos. Check out her blankets and such on this website.
Spencer, JaLynn, and Jeb all help with the cattle and horse operation. Spencer is 19, JaLynn is12, and Jeb is 9.
December 1, 2009 we added another little buckaroo to the family. We were blessed with Levi Matthew Voorhies!
